Did he? “No.”

“You tell me if that changes, I’ll grab you both and we’re gone.”

Brody gave him a small smile. “Thank you, Sir.”

“You’re welcome, my Pup.” He kissed him. It was so hot that it made his legs go weak and he found himself leaning on the Fox’s thigh between his. Not that the Fox seemed to care.

Please, dick. Don’t get hard. Please.

But as usual, that asshole didn’t listen to a word he said. By the time the Fox drew back, his cock was throbbing and pressing hard against his jeans.

A throat clearing had him drawing back and looking down the passage to see his sisters all crowding around, staring at them.

He braced himself for the onslaught.

Nightmare.

Please don’t let his sisters see how hard he was.

“Wow, I don’t know how I feel about that,” Lissy said.

“I feel a lot of mixed emotions,” Jodie added.

“Do you have a brother, Fox?” Nina asked, peering up at the Fox.

“Or five or six,” Jodie added.

“Hey, some of us have boyfriends,” Lola said, chewing her gum loudly. Her blonde hair had pink streaks that he personally loved.

“What you have is an asshole who treats you as a convenient lay,” Nina told her.

“What?” Brody asked. “He isn’t treating you right? Who? I want his name.”

“Aww, Boo-boo is getting all protective,” Anna said. “That’s so sweet.”

He dropped it for now, but he’d get that name later.

“What are you all doing in here?” Brody’s mother came into the hallway, Autumn walking behind her with her eyes wide. “You’re all behaving very strangely. Nina, Anna, and Jodie, get into the kitchen to help me. Lissy, get our guests a drink.”

“They’re not guests, though, Momma,” Lissy pointed out. “They’re family. Can’t they get their own drinks?”

“You go do as you were told, girl,” his mother snapped back. “You’re not too old for me to take you over my knee.”

“A woman after my own heart,” the Fox whispered in his ear.

Dear Lord, save him.

He knew this had been a bad idea.

His Momma shooed them all off, then turned to him. “What did they do?”

“What?” he asked.

She flicked him around the head, and he tightened his hold on the Fox, not wanting him to retaliate. “This is my Momma.”

“Why are you telling him that?” his mother asked. “He knows I’m your momma.”

Yes, but he wanted to remind the Fox that she was off-limits, no matter what she did to him.

But to his shock, the Fox remained relaxed.

“Well?” she demanded.

Brody sighed, knowing she wouldn’t let it go. “They made T-shirts and printed photos of me naked on them.”

His mother’s lips twitched. But she managed to get herself under control. Yes, everyone thought it was hilarious.

Ha-ha.

“No dessert for them,” his mother declared.

“No, don’t do that, Momma. You know that will make them worse.”

“No. Then there is more for the little one here.” She lightly patted Autumn’s back. Poor Tutu. She looked like she was in shock. “She needs it. Brats, the lot of them.”

She walked away, muttering.

The Fox immediately stepped back and reached his hand for Autumn’s, taking hold and drawing her close.

“Are you all right, Tutu? Is it too much?” Brody asked her.

“It . . . no. Of course not.”

“Baby girl, look at me.” The Fox waited for her to raise her gaze to his. “Do not lie.”

She flinched slightly, giving Brody an apologetic look. “It’s a lot.”

“We can leave—” he started to say.

“But it also isn’t,” she said in a confused voice. “She told me to call her Momma.”

“What?” Brody asked, shocked.

“Yeah . . . I . . . what just happened?”

Brody wrapped his arms around behind her, kissing her cheek. “She accepted you. You’re family.”

“I . . . I am?”

“Uh-huh, and once my momma accepts you, then you’re in for life.” He didn’t know how it had happened so quickly. Jodie, Nina, and Sam had all been married, and their husbands had never been invited to call her momma. And they were all divorced now.

“But why?” she asked, sounding so bewildered that it broke his heart.

“Because she saw what a beautiful person you are,” he told her. “Welcome to the family, Tutu.”

“Ohh.” She buried her face in the Fox’s chest.

“So when she lets you call her momma you’re accepted?” the Fox asked.

“Uh, yeah, but don’t be upset,” he said hastily. “She never accepted any of my sisters’ husbands or boyfriends.”

“Yes, but they were all fools.”

It shouldn’t surprise him that the Fox had researched his sisters and their partners.

“And challenge accepted.”

Oh heck.

Fox, Brody, and Autumn

Autumn sat between the Fox and Brody at the large dining table. They’d managed to keep her between them since she left the kitchen with Brody’s mother, who was both the sweetest and scariest woman that she’d ever met.

How she’d managed to raise seven kids on her own, Autumn had no idea. And most of them were outspoken and crazy. The only exceptions seemed to be Brody and Sam.
