If I wanted things to go down smoothly, I couldn’t spare a minute. The bogus text I’d sent that Liz person would have her showing up at about one in the afternoon, then the time it would take for the prisoner to be brought from her cell, and last the walk they would take to the special visitation building that some prisoners were allowed to use, and which I’d specifically asked for.

I’d done all that, setting up visitation, with the help of my daughter and her friends, heaven help me, though they have no idea what I was doing. I do know, though, that I’m gonna have to update my firewall when we get home. That Nia kid is way too good, and it looks like she’s been training the others.

I was in place a good ten minutes ahead of schedule, which wasn’t necessarily a good thing. All I need is for one of these trigger-happy assholes in guard suits to see me up here with my gear. Things went as smoothly as I expected in the end, no hiccups. I took the shot. She won’t be sending any more messages, and those women back on the island could chill.

MANDY: 1:00 pm

I smirked in the little stolen mirror as I got ready to go meet Liz. She’s the only one who visits me here, and not because she wants to. My mother, that bitch, never once stepped foot in this place, never called or sent a letter, nothing. It’s as if I never existed.

Today’s visit is a little unexpected, though. Liz has never taken the initiative before to come see me. Maybe she’s here to plead for mercy, of which I have none. She’s out there enjoying life while I’m stuck behind these walls, thanks to her in part.

Knowing she hates my guts only makes forcing her to do my bidding all the sweeter. She’s such an idiot that she still believes in happy families and would do anything I asked to preserve hers. If she’s coming here to ask me to back off, she’s dumber than I’ve always known her to be.

She can have no idea that she’s only the first in my lineup. Once I get her end of things locked down, meaning, once Carter is on the hook again, then it’s time to move on to the others. Though Jace had destroyed my little black book, I still remember names and occupations.

Even from prison, it’s been easy to run a Google search on them when I was supposedly taking classes. Since most of the men were Hollywood types or some professional bigwig, anyone watching would think I was just fangirling, like so many others here do. There isn’t much else to do here but live through what we see on the screen.

I would’ve been bored out of my mind had I not hooked me another fish in here. One of the guards, in fact, the most stoic one of the bunch, a stickler for the rules. I’d gone after him for just that reason. It didn’t matter what he looked like; I only needed him for a few things. One, to get me access to whatever I needed, and two, to scratch my itch when I wanted.

He’s not bad in the sack, a little vanilla, but I was able to teach him a trick or two. I bet that milquetoast wife of his has been wondering where he got them from. The only drawback now is that he seems to be in love. It’s to the point that if I asked, he’d probably break me out of here, but that’s not what I want.

I don’t want to live my life on the run, so I came up with a better plan. All those men who used me will now have to do their best to get me out of here if they didn’t want their cushy lives interrupted. And, of course, the money I plan to take off of them will be for me to live the life that should’ve been mine all along.

I walked down the corridor once the door was open and was surprised after the many twists and turns that we seemed to be going in the wrong direction. “Hey, where are we going? Where are you taking me?”

“Just shut up and keep walking.” The female security guard all but sneered as she walked on.

Just as we reached the door, I was beginning to think this was a setup, but then she opened the door, and I saw Liz. “Somebody somewhere must’ve pulled some strings. This building is used mainly by well-behaved inmates who’ve been here for a while. You don’t fit either.” She looked like that was an insult to her or something, like it was taking something away from her.

I wonder if my lover had arranged this. Always before, Liz and I would meet in the regular visiting room with all the other visitors and inmates. There were two other visiting areas that I know of, but those were for families and, like she said, were usually given to specific prisoners.
