“I don’t blame him,” Finn muttered. “Plus, I don’t want other men having sexual fantasies over my woman.”

“Baby, that happens regularly, whether women are strippers or not.”

“I never…” Finn’s lips twisted. “Never mind.”

Mel laughed and patted his broad, freckled chest.

“Bottom line is, she’ll be doing what she loves but with her clothes on,” Rez said with a satisfied grin.

Sapphire shook her head. “If that’s your main motivation for buying in…”

Rez slid a clump of wet hair off her cheek. “It’s not. I do think it’s a good investment. And bonus, I’ll get all the free entertainment I want.”

She rolled her eyes.

“Hang on. You have a problem with other men watching her dance but she’s not supposed to mind you watching other women strip?” Mel asked.

Rez grinned. “Bingo.”

Her best friend yelled, “Men!” to the night sky.

That outburst made her two Dobermans, locked inside due to the winter weather, begin barking.

“Apparently, Minx and Jinx don’t agree with your assessment of the situation,” Finn teased.

“But it’s accurate. You men and your double standards.” Mel shook her head.

“Better to have double standards, than none at all, right?” Rez teased.

Finn bit back a laugh. “All right. I’d like to get laid later. So before I ruin that, let’s get back to our new club called Karma.”

“It’s not going to be named Karma,” Mel grumbled.

“Mel will own a majority of the business. Anyone else, except me, of course, would be a silent partner. Rez Dispenser, are you going to be able to keep your mouth shut?”

Sapphire burst out laughing. “You’re asking the impossible. He might explode if he can’t blurt out whatever he wants.”

“I’ll admit I have a problem…” Rez murmured.

“Oh, he can make suggestions, but I won’t be under any obligation to have to take them.” Mel grinned. “He can talk all he wants, doesn’t mean I’ll listen.”

“Hmm. That sounds familiar,” Sapphire said.

Rez’s dark eyebrows shot up his forehead. “Are you saying you tune me out?”

Sapphire squeezed his cheeks. “I hear everything you say.”

“Lies!” burst from Rez.

“They never listen,” Finn grumbled.

“Excuse me?” Mel squeaked. “If you want us to listen, then say something worth listening to.”

“Everything I say is worth listening to,” Finn stated.

Mel threw her head back and laughed so loudly, the dogs started a fresh round of barking.

“Good thing you two don’t have neighbors.”

“Oh, we have neighbors,” Mel assured Sapphire. “They don’t listen to Finn, either.”

“Damn, woman!” Finn shouted. “You’re out for blood tonight.”

“Do ghosts not have ears?” Rez asked.

“Ask them,” Sapphire encouraged.

“Grab a Ouija board!” Rez ordered.

“No!” yelled both Mel and Finn at the same time.

“I’d prefer our neighbors remain quiet,” Mel said at a more reasonable volume.

Finn shuddered. “Agreed. It’s both cool and creepy living surrounded by a cemetery, but I’d prefer not to raise the dead, fuck you very much. Enough movies and TV shows have taught us nothing good ever comes from zombies.”

“They only like to eat brains. That means you’re safe, Ginger Snap.”

“Then so are you,” Finn countered Rez.

“Well,” Mel began, “you two were smart enough to snag women like us, so you must have a few working brain cells.”

The men looked at each other and both said, “True,” at the same time.

When Sapphire wiggled in Rez’s lap, he groaned, took a breath, then said, “Welp, I’m supposed to tell a doctor if my erection lasts longer than four hours and I’m getting a little worried now that an hour has already passed. I might need to do something drastic to get rid of it.”

“This hot tub has a no DNA deposit policy,” Mel announced.

“Really? That’s not what you said when—” Mel slapped a hand over Finn’s mouth to shut him up.

“Gross, dude!” Rez shouted, surging to his feet and knocking Sapphire off his lap and into the churning water.

She barely held her breath in time as her head went under the surface. Strong hands pulled her back up.

Rez grimaced. “You didn’t swallow, did you?”

“Jesus, Rez!” she sputtered. “I didn’t want to get my hair soaked. It’s still freezing cold out!”

“You can borrow a hair dryer before you leave,” Mel said on a laugh, now standing.

“But first we’ll sit here and watch you two climb out of the hot tub,” Finn announced, “all wet and slick.”

“And with that, it’s time for us to go,” Sapphire responded. She glanced at Mel. “How did we get stuck with perverts?”

Mel lifted one eyebrow. “But are we stuck?”

“Hey now!” Finn shouted. “You’re stuck with us. No give backs.”

Mel glanced at Sapphire. “They think we can’t live without them.”

She returned, “We can easily prove them wrong.”

“Now let’s not do anything hasty. No need to prove anything,” Rez said.

“Worried?” Sapphire asked as she finished climbing out of the tub and grabbed a nearby towel.

Rez quickly followed her, also grabbing a towel. “Nope. Because you can’t resist this dick.” He grabbed his terry cloth covered crotch.
