“—Hades Hollow was founded in 1505—” Dion argues from wherever he has appeared from, but I ignore him.

“And you all kept me there, tormented me with weird shit, and then threw a party with my friends to bring me back—before I found out that my mother had died?”

“We didn’t do the last part.” Dion warns on the end, and I relax my shoulders. They’re right. They didn’t. And if anything, I should thank them—well, Sparrow—for taking me in until my birthday.

“I’ve not figured much out.”

“Mmhmm…” Sparrow mutters, his hand coming to mine again. This time before I can actually pull away, he tugs me into him, parting his legs so I fit into his.

“Here we go…I knew it.” Dion chuckles from the other side of the counter.

The fridge door shuts quietly, but I can’t see past Sparrow. The kitchen is the biggest part of the house. Whoever first built it most likely built the rest of the house around this kitchen. Older furnishings and half-sanded old cupboards. I’d read all about the murders here, but since being here, I haven’t thought much into the smaller details about them.

Sparrow squeezes me. He’s even more beautiful up close, and I’m annoyed. His skin looks baby soft, not a wrinkle in sight. Damn. I wonder how old this man is.

Resting his hand on one cheek of my ass, he tenses slightly. “How about this. You run into any problems while we’re not here?” His other hand comes to my other cheek, all while his eyes move from my mouth, smirking. “And us three will be right back.”

I should push away from him, but my hands fall to the side of his neck and my lips find his. I’d thought about kissing Sparrow more often than not. Mainly because I wasn’t sure whether he would let me do it. Malyk, I knew I could get. The undeniable pull between us both is obvious on his side too, and Dion, well…but Sparrow? He is the wild card for me, and just this once, I have to know what freedom tastes like on the tip of my tongue. Stuck in a haze of dizzy spells, I moan lightly when his tongue touches mine. I bring my hands to his cheeks just as he pulls away slightly, his lips barely brushing mine.

“If you run into any bullshit while we’re away, who are you going to call?” he presses again, his tone above a whisper. I swear I feel it right down to the tips of my toes.

I look between him and the dark shadow in the corner and then finally to where Dion stands in the kitchen, leaning against the fridge with a bottle of milk in his hands.

“Any of you?” I ask, almost to myself more than to them.

Dion shifts across the kitchen until he’s closer to us, leaning against the countertop. He looks over to Malyk briefly before settling back on me.

“Question…”

Sparrow’s eyes roll to the back of his head as he leans back on his elbows while Malyk remains in the corner. It’s almost strange that he hasn’t moved. I tilt my head at Malyk and watch as his fingers curl around his face covering, pulling it down to rest around his neck. My heart trips over itself in my chest as electricity prickles down my spine. I can feel my breathing deepen as he steps slowly into the kitchen, his eyes finally piercing through mine. I’ve never been able to get a read on him any time I’ve tried. He’s the one with jokes, but I see through it. I see the jokes are merely a distraction for the kind of pain he hides beneath.

Fingers curl around my chin, and I’m being ripped away from Malyk’s trance and meeting eyes so blue they send chills throughout my body.

Dion chuckles, dark lashes fanning out over his high cheekbones. “Question…” he repeats, and instead of letting my chin go, he swipes the bottom of my lip with his thumb. “Do you dream?”

“What?” I stiffen when I feel a hand curl from behind my thigh.

“Do you…” Dion comes closer until his lips graze mine.

After kissing Sparrow moments before, I already feel raw. Open. Forced into a corner that I no longer want to escape from. His teeth catch my bottom lip and I hiss from the sudden, sharp pain.

“Dream?”

My eyes drift closed. Don’t think about the hand skimming up your thigh. Taking deep breaths, I slowly open my eyes back onto Dion when his mouth catches mine. I can still feel Sparrow’s leg between Dion and me, but he widens it farther, giving me more access to him.

My hands come to Dion’s cheeks as I deepen the kiss, while the hand inches higher, skimming dangerously close to the line of my bikini. Pushing against the hand, I break away from Dion’s kisses as he sucks a trail down the curve of my neck. I turn over my shoulder, thinking it was Sparrow who started being touchy when my eyes collide back to the same ones that caused a riptide inside my belly just moments before. His hoodie covers the frame of his face, but his face scarf still sits at the base of his neck.
