Before Spencer, I never had much of a family. Now there are so many people that love and adore me, even with all my quirks I once believed were annoying. Spencer has shown me that I’m not too much, that those who think that about me don’t know what they’re missing. He tells me that it’s their loss if they can’t handle who I am.

He's right, and I love him so much for it. We teach our girls to be who they are and to not let the world hold them back. The Catwoman in our wagon is a perfect example of that, and I hope my kids never lose that spirit.

We spend the next hour wearing the girl out. Both Landon and Gideon sent us pictures of them out trick-or-treating with their little ones. Tomorrow everyone is coming out here. The kids are excited because we're going to let them set up tents and have a campout.

There’s nothing I love more than when we’re all together. It can be a bit harder now that the kids are getting older, but we make it a priority. Thankfully they’re all headed to the same school, so it will be easier on our schedules.

They might not all be family by blood, but they are family nonetheless. No one knows better than I do that you don't have to stick with the family you were born into. Not everything is a fit. I went out into the world and found where I belonged.

Spencer and I load the kids into the SUV, and by the time we get home, they’re all fast asleep. I carry Catwoman inside while Spencer gets the other two.

“Go wash up. I’ve got them.” Spencer bushes my hair aside and presses a kiss to my neck. “I’ll do stories.”

I give each of our girls a kiss before heading into our room and stripping out of my costume. I decide to take a shower, and not too long after, the door opens and Spencer is sliding in to join me. He wraps his arms around me from behind and kisses my shoulder.

"I was going to fuck you in that costume."

"You did before we left." I laugh, turning around to face him. I love getting dressed up as different people and then letting Spencer have his way with me. I suppose it might be one of our kinks. It's fun and silly, but it's us. We both know under whatever wig or mask I pick, it's still me at the core. "And I'll have a new one for tomorrow." I wiggle my brows at him.

A few of the costumes I have are ones I made myself. They are ones that grace many of the comics I've created over the years. With the help of Spencer, I was able to let my walls down and not be shy about sharing them with others. He was the first to read them and the only person I ever let see inside the box I held so dear.

The first night I opened it for him, I sat on his lap while he read them aloud. He read every single one of them and still does to this day. Now Spencer gets to read them first. The man really has become my muse, helping me find the words. My personal hero who chases away the darkness anytime it tries to get close.

Spencer’s hands go to my ass, and he lifts me off my feet. I wrap my legs around him as he claims my mouth, and I kiss him back just as fiercely.

It doesn’t matter how many times he has me, it’s never enough. His need for me is always there, filling that space that was left empty from my past. Spencer has healed me with his superpowers, making him, my husband, my favorite and most cherished hero of them all.
