My climax feels like it’ll never end as I gulp a lungful of air, almost in a state of shock that anything could feel so good and so right.

So natural.

Both of us are left speechless. Krissy’s de-flowering is so much more than just a man claiming his woman.

And it’s way more than just a rite of passage for her from girlhood to womanhood.

“I think we just made a baby,” Krissy finally manages to say as she keeps a firm grip on me inside and out.

Both of us collapse, truly spent.

“I know we did,” I grin. Kissing her, etching the taste and feel of her into my memory banks forever.

“I just know we did.”

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Krissy

The need for Ethan inside me is overpowering. And forgetting about everything else—my job, my apartment, and anything I tried to tell myself was important before, I know I need his child in me.

Our child.

It hits me like a rush of adrenalin, with every hormone in my system, every fiber of my being needed to fuse with Ethan to make it happen.

I know I’m not imagining it because he’s as quick to pick up on my need and the timing, whisking both of us back to his suite, priority one.

All my inhibitions and worry about a man of his size and wealth disappear. Even though Ethan has problems of his own, it’s clear where his priorities lie from now on.

It really is us from now on.

And the little life I know he’s planted inside me.

Our future. Our family.

“I think I just quit,” I sigh, hugging him tightly. Enjoying the pressure of his naked body on mine.

His arousal is still rock hard inside me as if we really could stay like this forever.

“Quit?” he exclaims, lifting his head to look me in the eyes. “We only just started.” And I giggle, stroking my palm down his handsome face.

“I mean, I think I just quit my job,” I explain. “That is if you’re serious about supporting me…supporting us,” meaning our child.

All our children.

I haven’t even had one yet, but I can already picture Ethan and myself surrounded by little ones.

He’s a great man, and he’ll make an even greater dad.

And I’ll be the perfect mom because I’ll have the perfect man by my side.

“I’m glad to hear it,” Ethan says, taking my hand in his and kissing it.

“I mean every word of it,” he reminds me. “No matter what happens, we’ve got more than enough, and you’ve got all of me now, so there’s no need for you to work.”

I feel my head nodding. Already mapping out my future days raising our kids instead of being treated like one by a job that doesn’t show respect at all.

“Took you long enough to work that out,” Ethan smiles, playfully teasing me as he eases his weight off me, laying on his back next to me in bed.

His huge chest is rising and falling with afterglow breaths.

Both our hands keep the other in a soft grip. Our bodies are totally spent, but our minds and hearts are still racing.

Looking around the bedroom, which feels like it’s slowly coming back into focus, I really do feel like a queen.

The room and the suite beyond it. The view.

It’s all just so….

“Beautiful,” I murmur, casting my eyes to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The incredible view of the cityscape outside is like something from a postcard.

“You sure are,” Ethan replies instantly, stroking my hair back before he leans in to kiss me again.

Making me feel special as the center of attention, no matter where we are or what we’re doing.

“Do you ever get tired of it?” I ask. “Views like this…having everything you’ve ever wanted?” I ask.

Hoping the feelings he gives me never wear off. Praying silently that I never take anything like this for granted.

“I only got tired of being alone. Having no one to share it with,” he says, running a huge hand over my still shivering chest before resting it on my belly.

“You’ll never be alone again,” I promise him. Both of us swelling with emotion, and I fight back some tears.

The intensity of it all bubbles over into tears, but they’re happy ones.

Ethan holds me closer, and we spend the whole afternoon locked in each other’s arms.

We make love again and again, with him seeing his prophecy come true.

Making me come so hard and so often and calling his name until it feels like I can’t take how good he feels anymore. Only to find out it’s what we both crave again as soon as it’s over.

When the light through the huge windows starts to wane, and I feel myself feeling sleepier than anything else, I try to stay awake by asking Ethan what his plans are.

“About your accountant,” I remind him, but his mind is miles away from that.

He only shrugs when I ask him, assuring me it’ll all work out, even though I can’t help putting myself in the picture now.
