His cock presses against the back of my throat and I nearly gag on him, but I don’t stop. I’m far too eager to please him.

He permits this for only a moment before surprising me by yanking me up and tossing me onto the bed. It seems so effortless for him as I bounce slightly and then sink into the luxurious sheets.

My chest rises and falls as he climbs onto the bed after me. His broad shoulders are carved from pure muscle and the sight of him staring at me as if he wants nothing more in his entire life leaves me breathless.

He breaks my gaze only to grab the pillow behind me.

“Spread your legs for me,” he orders while placing the pillow under the small of my back. I do as I’m told, allowing him to position me however he wants while every nerve ending lights with fire in anticipation of what he’s going to do to me.

Of course I obey him, spreading my legs for his hips to fit exactly where I need them, but he grips my upper thighs and pushes them back further, pinning me in an angled position so he can see my pussy easily. As my heated sin tingles in anticipation, he lowers himself, groaning as he takes a languid lick of my slit. His hungry eyes reach mine after sucking on my clit. They’re dark and foreboding.

“When you come, you’re going to thank me. Do you understand?”

Nodding, I eagerly agree. “I’ll thank you.”

“Good girl,” he tells me before lowering his face back to my clit. He’s unforgiving as he massages his tongue against my hardened nub. The vibrations of his groans of desire spread goosebumps up my skin as the pleasure hits me like waves crashing against the shore. More and more intense until I’m desperate for my release.

“Zander, please,” I beg him and he lets go of my thigh to press two fingers inside of me, curving them and ruthlessly stroking my G-spot. I come recklessly under him. My climax is violent and arrives faster than I could have expected.

Even still, I thank him like he told me to do.

I spread my legs for him but he pushes my thighs up higher and pins them back. Fuck. He angles me and thrusts in deep. Deeper than he’s been before and heat engulfs me. “Z,” I say. There’s a plea in my voice I can’t help.

He leans forward, his hard body against mine and groans, “So fucking tight but I’ll loosen you up.” As he rocks, the pleasure builds and his pubes rubbing against my clit only heighten everything. Lighting every nerve ending aflame.

My heart pounds in my chest as the intensity climbs.

Every thrust pushes me higher and higher.

Every glance up his hazel eyes are on mine.

Every kiss silences desperate cries of pleasures. And all the while my heart races, my blood heats and the words “I love you” threaten to spill from my lips.

I resist which makes it all the more surprising and emotional when he whispers at the shell of my ear as I drift off to sleep in his arms, sated and spent, “Thank you for loving me.”

There’s a tick, tick, in my chest as I pretend to be sleeping. I’m falling, I know I’m falling and I’m fucking terrified of what that means and mostly, of ever losing him.

ZANDER

The comparison of Ella’s home to mine is night and day. That’s all I can think as I fill her fridge with groceries that are meant for both of us. Sports drinks all in a row line the bottom shelf of the fridge and they’re for me, not her. I’ve practically moved in and there’s a piece of me that’s unsettled in doing so. There are so many loose ends that need to be tied up. The sound of someone coming through the back door steals my attention.

It’s Kamden. His expression appears wary, almost angry.

“Hey,” he says, shutting the door behind him. “Are you busy?”

“Just putting these away.” I hold up a gallon of milk and then turn my back to him, opening up the door and asking, “Something you wanted to talk about?”

My hackles bristle whenever he’s around. I’m not sure if it’s possessiveness or if it’s because he knows more about Ella than I do. Or because there are secrets between us, but I know he loves Ella. I know he’d do anything for her. The possessiveness rises again. I don’t know if that makes him an ally or an enemy.

“Yes. There’s something we need to discuss.” He hovers around the table in the breakfast nook, seeming unable to make up his mind about whether he should sit or stand for this conversation.

I don’t like it. Kam is a bit of a wild card in this situation, and I’m still not sure what to think about him.
