I had no idea what he meant to say beyond just being pleased with his orgasm and the scene in general, so I just tried not to chuckle as he floated.

After a few minutes, he sighed again, pushing his hips up just enough to let me know he was still pleased with the shallow caresses. “You give me the best scenes, Owner. You…you just get me. That was…perfect.”

Leaning over, I kissed the back of his head and smiled as his sleepy, satisfied grin peeked out. “You were perfect and I loved everything about it.”

Including the man in the scene with me.

But it was too soon to say that…wasn’t it?

Emerson rested for another few minutes before stirring and distracting me from my wandering thoughts. As he shifted, I eased my finger out of him and kissed his head. He completely ignored the mess we’d made, wiggling until he was sitting between my legs and curled up on my chest. “Yes, just like this.”

Chuckling, I kissed his head again and stroked my hand down his back. “Thank you for making sure I know what you want, pretty one.”

Reading his mind would never be an easy task, so I wanted to make sure he knew his honesty would always be welcome.

“That’s one of the things I like best about you, Owner.” He turned and kissed my chest before snuggling back into me. “I don’t have to worry with you.”

I didn’t want to ask how many other Doms and just assholes in general had made him question himself and worry. I wanted to replace those frustrating memories with wonderful ones, so I trailed my finger around his jaw until I got to his chin.

Titling his head up, I pressed a light kiss to his lips, barely brushing mine against his. “I don’t ever want you to worry, pretty one. You’re a constant surprise, but a very pleasant one and a very sweet doll.”

He was fascinating, but always in the best way possible.

Emerson giggled, not bothered by my description in the slightest. “I like surprising you.”

Then shifting to give me the cutest pout, he widened his eyes and looked sorrowful and sweet. “But sometimes I just forget to tell you things.”

Like being a clown.

Kissing his nose to get him to give me that cute smile again, I chuckled. “It’s part of your charm, pretty one.”

But one of the reasons we weren’t going to rush.

I wanted to make sure there weren’t other big surprises he’d thought he mentioned…and that would only happen if we spent time talking and not exploring fantasies or working…which at this point was basically still exploring fantasies.

“You’re so sweet.” Eyes sparkling, he curled into me again looking happy and floaty. “And I know you just want the best for me and for us.”

Sighing like admitting it was painful, he nuzzled into me. “I’ll do my best to be patient and I won’t even try to move in with you. Eli said you might not notice for a while, but that wouldn’t be very honest of me.”

Laughter wouldn’t be the right response, especially with how genuine he was being, but I wasn’t sure what to say.

Kissing his head to give me a moment to think, I finally aimed to be as honest as possible too. “I think he’s probably right, unfortunately, and that just means I have to get used to putting my doll first. I would feel terrible if I ignored you so much I didn’t realize you were living with me.”

Emerson went very still.

“I hadn’t thought about it that way.” Sitting up, he looked wonderfully thoughtful and so cute I had to give him another kiss. As I pulled away from his lips, he petted my cheek. “We’ll take our time and I’ll help you to learn how to take care of me. It’ll be fine.”

That sounded…frightening.

“Thank you, pretty one.” I smiled as he settled back against me looking confident in his new plan. “But how should we accomplish that?”

Might as well see if I could get a heads up on the possible chaos.

Emerson made some cute thinking sounds before shrugging. “I don’t know, but I’ll figure it out. Right now, I know we need dates and conversations, and I need to start telling you my plans for the week and you need to do the same. What do you think about a joint calendar? I know that’s very forward of me, but it seems like a very logical next step.”

Moving in with me wasn’t forward but a shared calendar was?

His mind was a wonderful place.

“I think that’s very logical considering how serious we are.” Right? “It would also make sure we’re taking care of each other.”

And that I didn’t accidentally work too much.

The last thing I wanted my doll to feel was neglected or unimportant. I just wasn’t sure how to make sure he felt important without letting us move too fast.
