“Just because I’m so good at it,” I replied, before the pull of tasting him again was too much to deny. I kissed him, slipping my tongue inside. Ty opened up for me, kissed me back, this dance of dominance between us. I cupped his face, brushed my fingers down his neck, fought to hold on to control.

My dick was aching. I wasn’t sure anyone had ever gotten me as hard as he did. The whimper he fed me said Ty felt the same.

He pressed his palm against my erection, rubbing me.

“So hot!” someone yelled, and we jerked away from each other. A group of women who looked around our age laughed and cheered before jogging off.

“Shit,” I cursed.

“You can say that again. I forgot where we were.”

“Me too. Though that part of it is kinda hot.” We’d fucked around in an empty classroom, a storage room, and now on the beach.

“For real, Mr. Public Sex.” Ty chuckled. “You made me miss the rest of my sunset.”

“Are you complaining?”

“No, I’m just saying it was a nice place for you to take me on a date, and it’s a shame I missed it.”

“Not a date.” I stood and held my hand out for him. Ty took it and let me pull him to his feet.

Strangely, he didn’t let go of my hand until we got back to the trail leading up the cliff.

Even more strange? That I let him hold on as long as I did.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Ty

I hoped that once we got back to Brax’s place, we’d finish what we started at the beach. When we pulled up, there were a couple of cars in his driveway, one of them the vehicle I’d seen his brother leave in earlier. As soon as we were off the bike, he said, “Fuck. I’ll go grab your bag real quick.”

I nodded, concerned at the worry creasing his brow, but he came out a minute later and handed it over, looking more like normal Brax, so I figured I must have imagined it. As I slipped one strap over my shoulder, I said, “So I’ll see you at my game tomorrow?”

Brax gave me an exaggerated laugh, complete with knee slaps.

“You’re lucky I know how awesome I am, otherwise you might give me a complex.”

“I’m lucky, huh?”

“Well, yeah, since you like me so much the way I am.”

“Why would I give you a complex talking shit if I liked you so much?”

“Because it’s basically our form of foreplay?”

Brax’s dark, sexy grin made my balls tingle, and then he backed me against his bike, brushed our noses together, his lips a breath away from mine. “You’re gonna be thinking about that kiss all night, aren’t you?”

“Yes.” I didn’t even pretend to deny it. What was the point? We both knew it would be a lie.

“You gonna jack off thinking about me?”

“Obviously.”

He licked his lips, the tip of his tongue touching my mouth as well. “Me too,” Brax admitted before pulling away. “Night, Lacrosse.”

“You know we can do that together, right?”

He was walking backward toward the house and gave me another of his smiles, the real one that said he was enjoying himself. He didn’t have to speak for me to know the answer.

“You’re killin’ me here, Brax. Why you gotta be so mean?”

It wasn’t until he got to his door that he said, “Maybe I like knowing you’ll be thinking about me.” When he slipped inside the house, I realized I was smiling too. I liked playing these games with Brax, even if they gave me blue balls.

I climbed into my car and took a photo of the prominent bulge beneath my track pants.

Me: I hate you. I attached the photo.

Brooding Bad Boy: And that’s new how?

I didn’t bother replying right away. Let him sit and wonder what was going through my head like I so often did with him.

I didn’t go back to campus yet. It was too early, and I didn’t want to risk seeing anyone since I’d skipped practice for the first time ever. I drove around for a while, then let myself splurge on some In-N-Out. I parked and pulled out my phone, looking at my photos of sunrises to see if I could figure out who Brax was.

It didn’t take long. There was a random account with a photo of the San Luco pier as the profile picture and two photos uploaded, one of the beach we’d just been at and the other of an older lady with a wide smile and hazel eyes similar to Brax’s.

She must be the grandma he’d been visiting today. If Brax was the one taking the shot, she was smiling at him like he was her whole damn world, and I found myself wondering about their relationship. There were too many things I was curious about when it came to Braxton Walker.
