“Fuck,” Landon whispered harshly above me. “I’ve missed fucking you.” He started moving back and forth slowly, letting me get used to his girth again.

I tried to tell him I’d missed it too, but all that came out were pleas. Faster, more, harder.

Landon refused to hurry, though. He rocked into me at his own pace, filling me and then pulling back until I was nearly empty and desperate. With each plunge and retreat, he dragged across the sensitive nub of my clit until I had to bury my face in the pillow to keep my moans from becoming screams. He reached around and pinched my nipples the way he remembered I liked while he moved in and out.

The pressure built in my body, pushing me further and further into dark ecstasy until I climaxed once, the waves of pleasure ripping through me and leaving me shaken. Only then did Landon increase his tempo, plunging deeper and harder and dragging me back up the peak. I knotted my fingers in the sheets, but suddenly, he withdrew and flipped me over.

“I want to see you,” he rasped, covering my body with his as he slid back into me. “I want to watch your face when you come on my cock.” Our fingers entangled, tongues twisting, mouths locking as we moved together. The dazed, sated feeling I’d had so briefly after my climax was a distant memory as he drove me back to the brink.

Between kissing me, Landon was whispering dark, dirty things in my ear and I was responding, but looking back, I had no idea what I was saying. If it was even coherent. I felt like an exposed nerve, all feeling and emotion. All I knew was that I wanted him more than I had ever wanted anything in my life, and that for now, for this moment at least, I had him. The future ceased to matter. The past was irrelevant. I met him thrust for thrust, wrapping my legs around his and trying to take him even deeper.

I almost didn’t want to reach the peak again because I wanted to feel like this forever, but I couldn’t help it. A second climax tore through me, leaving me shaken. I felt him jerk once and then freeze, his fingers tightening around mine as he emptied himself into me, and then his mouth came down on mine, softer and sweeter than before.

“See?” I managed to whisper. “It was a good idea.”

Landon laughed softly as he rolled carefully to the side and pulled me against him, our damp bodies melding together. “You were right,” he murmured in my ear, wrapping his arms around me and keeping me warm. “You were absolutely right.”

LANDON

We told Emma in the morning.

“Okay!” she said brightly, like we’d told her we thought we’d go to the beach today.

Cami tilted her head. “Emma, did you hear us?”

“Mr. Landon is my daddy.”

“Yes,” she said slowly. “And you know what that means?”

I raised my eyebrows at her, wondering how in depth she planned to go with this explanation. Cami fought back a smile and nudged an elbow into my side.

“Yep!” Emma said. “Can we go back to the garden today?”

“Never,” I said.

“Maybe,” Cami countered. “But first, I just want to make sure you understand. Mr. Landon is your daddy.”

“I know,” Emma said patronizingly. “Can I have a baby sister?”

“Emma!”

Cami hurriedly sent her to her room to change into her swimsuit, then snuck a glance at me. “That went…well.”

“I’d say so,” I said, amused.

She went into her bedroom to change, and I went to mine, regretting that I couldn’t watch her slip out of that thin, soft tank top again. Couldn’t watch her slide those brief, silky shorts down her thighs. Maybe once Emma got used to the idea that I was her dad I could convince Cami to move into my bedroom officially.

Over the next several days, our same pattern resumed with one notable difference. Instead of skirting each other warily in the evenings, we found each other immediately. It was wreaking havoc on my work-life balance, but I couldn’t shut myself away in my room all night anymore. Not when Cami was out in the living room, beautiful and bored and waiting for me. More and more often, she fell asleep in my room, sneaking out in the early morning hours so that Emma wouldn’t find her bed empty.

“Maybe we should tell her that Dad and Mom sleep in the same bed,” I suggested early one morning as the rising sun crept around the dark blinds, my voice thick with sleep.

“I think that would renew the question of a baby sister,” Cami whispered, kissing me softly before rolling out of bed. I opened my eyes so that I could see the elegant shape of her in the dim light slipping into her clothes. After she left, I thought about the new house I was in the process of buying. It had five bedrooms.
