“Fuck, that’s so damn sexy, temptress. Maybe you’ll have to leave your panties at home more often. Easier access for the two of us,” King grunts against my neck, moving his fingers out of my center and wiping the excess wetness against my inner thigh. He would usually suck the remnants off, but he doesn’t this time, and that’s because he’s pressing his hips between my spread legs, allowing me to feel what getting me off does to him.

“I’m repaying the favor.” I go to slide my legs off his hip, ready to drop down to my knees, when there’s a knock on my closed office door.

“As much as I want your mouth wrapped around my cock, it’ll have to wait, and you’ll have to open the door because judging by that knock, it’s Mace.” I must make a face as if to question why I’d be answering the door when his business partner never makes an appearance in here. Mace usually emails me. “Temptress, as much as I’d have no problem doing the honors, my cock has other ideas, and my jacket’s in my office. This will give me a moment to calm my shit, and then I’ll take over.” He kisses my lips softly and then pulls back, letting me see that he needs his coat to cover his hardened cock.

“Just a minute!” I call out, standing on my own two feet and adjusting my skirt so it’s not hiked over my bare ass. Thankfully, my hands are clean, unlike King’s, who is already pulling his dress shirt out of his pants and moving away so he can use my body as a shield. “Ready?” I ask over my shoulder. He nods. I flick the lock, twist the handle, and open the door.

“Hey, Mace.” I attempt to act like King didn’t just rock my freaking world.

“Hi, Tessa, think you can spare King for a few minutes?” He nods towards the man behind me.

“Of course.” I don’t need to respond, though. Kingston’s already talking to Mace silently, and judging by the coy smile on Mace’s face, I probably wasn’t quiet enough.

“What’s up?” King asks. “See you later, sweetheart.” The man squeezes my side, moves out from behind me, bends down, and kisses me. It’s not a fast peck either: Kingston Thomas is staking his claim in front of Mace and who knows who else that could be walking down the hallway.

“I’ve got that outsourcing company on the phone to hire the head of HR. Need you to approve. Thanks for the idea, Tessa. Saving us some money and clearing up an office to hire another attorney.” That answers my question. King has obviously talked about us to Mace and things are good to go.

“You’re welcome. Have a good rest of your day,” I reply, leaving them to talk so I can get back to work, which is going to be hard after that encounter plus the conversation. Excuse me while I’m busy being a woman and overanalyzing every single thing in existence from here to eternity.

TESSA

My shopping adventure wasn’t easy, to say the least, plus being away from King until today because wouldn’t you know, the holiday fell on a Wednesday this year, making the company party happen on a Monday. Then we’d be shut down. Mace and Kingston have got to be one of the best firms to work for, seeing as even though I’d been here for only a month, I was getting paid time off, plus a bonus. One I wasn’t expecting, though it was enough to finish paying off the remainder of my credit card and leave me with some extra cash to pad my bank account. A good thing considering what I purchased for King for Christmas, a gift that was more expensive than I’d originally planned for yet totally worth it. Mae, on the other hand, super easy. Give the girl a vintage graphic tee, pajamas, and some new slippers, and all would be right with the world. So, that’s what I did. My parents were adamant about us not exchanging gifts. That was a struggle, and I ignored them. They were looking for new pool loungers that could sit inside the pool without warping or rusting the bottom. A few clicks on the computer, and those were ordered. They lived for hanging around the pool; it was a gift that would keep on giving.

“You look beautiful, Tessa.” Kingston and I took separate vehicles, seeing as how we weren’t together for most of the weekend save for last night. After our half day at work, I went home to get ready, knowing I’d be going home with him tonight. Plus, my dress was at my place, and I wanted to get ready without prying hands trying to undress me the entire time. The amount of panties King has ripped off my body, ruining them, has taught me a few things: don’t wear them around him and quit buying them because they were too expensive for them to get ruined, and that includes clothes that are hard to take off. My dress being one of them, but I swear to God, if he so much as busts the zipper from this magnificent piece, I’m going to scream, steal his credit card, and replace each freaking piece he's destroyed. It’s black material underneath a floral lace overlay, and the cap sleeves make it look sophisticated for a holiday party. The back is the showstopper, completely open, a button the only thing holding it up along with the zipper at the base of my spine.
