“Did you think I was going to?”

“Never.”

He rolled over onto his back. “Come sit on my face.”

I nearly choked. “Are you serious?”

“Yes.”

I took hold of the headboard as I started to straddle him.

“No, facing the other way.”

Now I saw what his game was. I liked it a lot. I’d loved sucking cock since the first time I’d tried it at the junior rodeo behind a storage shed. I’d only grown fonder of it since.

I threw my leg over him, and he took hold of my ass and pulled me back until my dick brushed his lips.

“Please. I need this.” My morning erection was throbbing. I no longer cared if I was late to work. My brothers expected me to be irresponsible anyway.

Ghost cupped the back of my neck and pushed me down. “Suck me.”

I did as he said, and he swallowed my cock down. Once again, he had me certain I was going to die of pleasure. The feel of his mouth on me as he lifted his hips, pushing his cock down my throat, was excruciatingly good.

Neither of us lasted long, and I collapsed on top of him when we were done, trying to catch my breath. He bent his leg so I could rest my head on his inner thigh. I didn’t think I’d ever want to get up, but when I noticed how much brighter the light was outside, I knew I had to leave. I was sure Ghost didn’t want my brothers to know where I’d been or who I’d been with. If I hurried, they would assume I’d found some hookup in town and not ask too many questions, but they might not buy that if I was much later. They knew it wasn’t my habit to fall asleep with a stranger.

I sat up and climbed off Ghost. “I’ve got to go. Work starts early here.”

My stomach growled as I tried to convince myself to move off the bed. Ghost smiled. “Hungry?”

“Yeah, and Jacob makes a damn good breakfast.”

“I wish I could join you. I’ll go back to my hotel and eat something from their pathetic breakfast offerings. I don’t suppose you could bring something for me?”

“Not unless you want me to explain to Grant and Rhys exactly what happened last night.”

He narrowed his eyes. “You wouldn’t.”

“It might be interesting to see their reactions.”

“Don’t. Grant is barely tolerating me, and I don’t think Rhys is even doing that.”

“I’m not going to say anything. As fun as it might be to tease them, I don’t want to listen to them bitch about it. Besides, we need your help.”

“I’m glad you recognize that.”

“They know it too since Grant didn’t kick you out on your ass. So why did you leave?”

Ghost shook his head. “I can’t tell you that. I can’t tell anyone that.”

“Is it classified?”

“Yes, actually, it is.”

“Wow. I mean, I knew that was real, but I’d only ever heard of it in movies.”

Ghost didn’t say anything as I got dressed. I was about to ask him if he could straighten the place up and lock it when he shocked me.

“I want to see you again.”

“Don’t you have to go back to DC and get on with your big, important federal-agent work?”

“I’m on assignment near Houston for a while.”

My heart started to pound. I wanted to ask him for how long, but I didn’t. “Can you meet tonight?” I asked.

“So you are up for more?”

“I am, but I’m not sure how many nights I can keep this up and still be able to sit on a horse.”

He grinned. “You’re going to be damn lucky if you can sit on one today.”

“I’ll manage.”

“I know. Like I said, you can do anything you set your mind to.”

I huffed. “You should tell that to my brothers.”

“Maybe I will.”

He had to be teasing, right? “I assumed you’d just disappear.”

He shrugged. “We’ll see.”

“What time tonight?”

“Midnight. Should we meet here, or would you like another game of chase?”

“Maybe tomorrow you should have to chase me on horseback.”

He shook his head. “I’ve never ridden a horse, and I have no intention of changing that.”

“I tried something new tonight. Maybe you should do that too.”

He studied me, eyes narrowed. His tongue swiped across his lower lip, and I wanted to kiss him so damn badly, but if I did, I doubted I’d be able to stop. I really needed to get to the ranch house.

“Maybe I’ll come up with a wager, and me riding a horse could be a prize.”

I smiled. “I like that. I also like to win.”

“I already know that about you, but remember, I have many skills.”

I rolled my eyes and headed for the door. “I’ll see you tonight.”

I glanced at him over my shoulder. “You sure as hell will. I’m assuming your many skills include the ability to make this place look like no one was here and to lock the door on your way out.”
