The Park men are cursed when it comes to love. I’m pretty sure of that.

“A lot of questions for someone ‘not serious,’” Hugo says, a knowing glint in his eyes. “Sounds like your woman has a bit of the pussy magic, too.”

He has no idea.

“I took her virginity tonight,” I admit. “It was pretty goddamn magical.”

His brow hikes. “A virgin? Seems like you got yourself a young one, too.”

I shrug off his imploring gaze, not willing to admit anything on that front.

“For fuck’s sake,” he mutters. “You should see your face right now. You are in love.”

I don’t confirm or deny it.

I’ve already said too much.

Willa

The house is quiet when I arrive. I’m not sure what I’d expected, but this wasn’t it. Not complete silence and a dark house.

I’m alone.

Again.

A shot of anger shoots up my spine and makes my head grow hot. If Mom cares so much about my well-being and where I’m at, why isn’t she here now?

She wants to talk about my “behavior” according to her text. As if that statement didn’t come directly from Darren’s mouth. I hate how he’s turned her into a robot.

I should have stayed at Callum’s. At least then, Mom would have something to worry about. My heart clenches at the thought of him.

God.

Tonight was perfect. He was perfect.

Like any girl, I imagined my first time with a man and how it would go. In my fantasies, the man was gentle and loving. Callum was more than I could have ever dreamed of. He not only gave me incredible pleasure, but he took care of me every step of the way.

I’ve never felt so wanted or needed by anyone.

For once, I felt like I held power over my life.

I let out a heavy sigh and then make my way to my bedroom. After shedding my clothes, I start the shower and step under the hot spray. I’m not exactly eager to wash Callum off my body, but it’s a cruel reminder of what I had to leave in order to be here.

I’m so sore.

I still can’t believe we had sex.

This whole thing doesn’t even seem real. If you told me a week ago that tonight I would sleep with my statistics teacher, I’d think you were insane. Now, I can’t ever imagine myself being with anyone else.

After an entirely too long shower where I replayed every second in Callum’s bed in my mind, I turn off the shower and grab a towel. I’ve barely wrapped the towel around my body and tied it so it’ll stay on when I get the creepy sensation that I’m not alone.

The hairs on my arms stand on end and my heart ricochets inside my chest.

“Hello?” I call out, voice hoarse. “Anyone here?”

Complete silence.

I swallow down my nerves and walk over to my dresser. Again, I get the unnerving feeling that someone is watching me.

“You’re fucking Park.”

A squeak escapes me as I whirl around to face the voice. Levi is sitting on the floor on the far side of my bed, back against the wall. How long has he been sitting there?

“Get out of my room!” I shriek, clutching onto the towel and pointing at the door. “Now!”

He roams his gaze down my body and then licks his lips. “Don’t be like that, sis.”

Gross. I could vomit. I hate him so much.

“Now, Levi.”

“That’s where you were, right? Because you weren’t at the library like you claim. I went back to see and you were gone.”

“It’s not my fault if you don’t know how to navigate a library. I was there.”

“Liar.”

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” I hiss, yanking underwear and pajamas from my drawer. “I was there.”

Since he won’t leave, I storm to the bathroom to dress in peace. I don’t get the door closed before he’s muscling his way inside. He grabs hold of my jaw and pushes me against the cabinet door. I cry out in surprise.

“You weren’t.” He cocks his head to the side. “Was it Dempsey or Spencer? Or both?”

“Fuck you.”

He pushes his knee between my thighs and brings his nose to mine. “You can lie all you want, but I know you weren’t there.”

Fear has my voice locked up and tears burning in my eyes. I was careless in thinking I was alone. Levi is always lurking nearby. I should have known better.

“I’m going to find out which one,” Levi says, eyes narrowing. “Either way, you’re fucked when Dad finds out.”

“There’s nothing to find out.”

“I’m not an idiot, Willa. I know they invited you to their party.”

“I’m not going.”

“I’ll believe that when I see it.”

Lifting my chin, I meet his stare. “I’m not. I have a friend staying over.”

His brow lifts. “You don’t have friends, aside from the ones you’re fucking.”

“Gemma.” I blurt it out before I can stop myself. “Gemma is staying over.”
