Since I’m still damp from standing in the rain earlier, I toss my phone on the bar and head for the bathroom. As much as I’d love not to wash Willa’s scent off my dick, I know it’s only temporary. She’ll be here in a few hours. I’ll have plenty of chances over the weekend to sink my cock deep inside her and revel in her delectable scent.

The shower water is hot and eases some of the tension in my neck and shoulders. Memories of this afternoon when I had her bent over my desk at school flood my mind and thicken my cock. I soap up my hand and stroke myself, imagining it’s her body instead. Thrusting my hips, I fuck my fist with an aggression I’d never use with Willa.

It’s brutal and punishing.

Recalling the breathy moans she made earlier, I’m finally sent over the edge. I come hard with my girl’s name on my lips.

God, I need her.

I won’t allow some little shit to threaten me from seeing her.

Once I’m clean, I dry off and dress. I opt for a pair of gray sweatpants and a Park Mountain High School hoodie. Rather than mess with fixing my hair, I quickly run my fingers through it before throwing on some socks and shoes. By the time I make it back to the kitchen, I’ve effectively wasted nearly an hour.

Won’t be much longer until I have Willa in my arms.

My phone buzzes on the countertop. I pick it up to see several missed calls from Jude. He also sent some texts.

Jude: Call me.

Jude: You seriously made me stop what I was doing to serve you and now you can’t be bothered to answer your phone?

Jude: Whatever, man. Here. This should pique your interest.

I pull up the screenshot he’s sent. It’s an email from Darren Paulson to an employee at Park Mountain Lodge.

Jude: I can see you’re reading my messages…

He sends another screenshot.

And another.

Holy shit.

Me: This is big. Really fucking big.

Jude: You doubted my abilities?

My brother is a finance genius, but it’s his ability to find damning information out on anyone that’s his most useful talent.

Me: Never. I have to take this to the authorities.

Jude: I’m assuming they have something on you?

Me: Video proof of me fucking my student. At school. Darren’s kid, Levi, showed it to me this afternoon.

Jude: Dirty, kinky bastard.

Me: I love her. She’s not some itch to be scratched. She’s fucking everything to me. I can’t lose her.

The dots move and then stop. Finally, he responds.

Jude: I’ve got your back, Cal. We’ll bury these fuckers so deep they’ll never climb out by the time we’re done with them.

I let his assurance wash over me.

He’s right.

We’re motherfucking Parks.

Parks always prevail. It’s why half this damn town is named after us.

Levi can fuck all the way off.

I’m getting the girl whether he likes it or not.

Willa

It can’t get dark fast enough for me. I’m dying to sneak out and go to Callum’s. Today, at school, our reconciliation was everything to me. Hearing his apology and then feeling him inside of me healed the cracks in my heart.

I quickly toss clothes into an overnight bag, though I don’t anticipate I’ll wear much of them. The thought is silly, but it makes me smile.

Thankfully, Levi hasn’t made it home yet. I’d briefly seen my mother and Darren as they breezed out of the house earlier. Mom still hovers, though not like she did right after what Levi did to me. As much as I want to cling onto her and keep her near me at all times, it’s unrealistic. Not to mention, Darren certainly won’t allow it.

I’ll never understand the hold he has on my mother. She’s always been a strong, independent woman. When she started seeing Darren, I slowly watched her life drain away until she was a shell of herself. The pills, though admittedly less in the past couple of weeks, seemed to be her escape from his stifling control. Problem was, by escaping, she left me all alone.

I busy myself with packing the rest of my things I’ll need for the weekend and then sit on the end of the bed. I’m anxious and excited. I could probably go ahead and leave, but I’d die if Levi saw me walking to Callum’s. It’s safest to wait in my room until Callum comes for me.

Not going insane until he shows up is going to be a problem, though.

Swiping my phone, I scroll through my messages to the last one Gemma sent. Things have been awkward since the party when I basically ghosted her after. Then, I’d gone back to school, pretending I was the same girl I was before I’d started seeing Callum.

Friendless. Quiet. Meant to blend in.

I avoided everyone.

Nibbling on my bottom lip, I debate if I should text Gemma. I really liked her and me shutting her out because of her brother wasn’t fair. But now that so much time has passed, I feel stupid reaching out to her. Biting the bullet, I fire out a text before I can change my mind.
