“Okay,” I say, nodding my head. That doesn’t sound so bad, so it can’t be all of it. “And?”

“And we’re expected to sleep with the guys,” Ivy whispers loudly.

I turn to face her and ask, “What do you mean expected?”

“If we want to be an ol’ lady, we gotta pay our dues and hope one of ‘em picks us one day,” June answers.

Noticing the look on my face, Roxy leans toward me and refills my shot glass.

Definitely feeling the need for alcohol now, I shoot her a grateful smile before I pick up the shot and down it.

I give the shot a second to settle in my stomach before I ask, “Do you get a choice?”

June rolls her eyes like it’s a stupid question. “Of course, we choose to be here.”

The other three smile and nod their heads, and I start to feel a little relieved.

“No one is forcing you?” I ask.

“Nope,” Peaches answers almost cheerfully. “We’re here because we wanna be. If we don’t like it, we can leave.”

Thank god, because I was seriously about to fucking murder Coy.

“And any of the guys can…” I can’t even finish the question.

Roxy nods her head and refills my shot glass.

Picking up the fresh shot, I throw it back.

Fuck.

I know you should never ask questions you don’t want the answers to, but I can’t stop myself. I need to fucking know.

Looking hard at them, I ask, “Did Coy?”

The uncomfortable looks on their faces and their silence is all the answer I need.

Roxy refills my shot glass again as I struggle with the sudden emotions slamming into me.

There’s anger, oh yes. It’s the first thing I feel.

How fucking dare he… fuck other women while I was away?

It seems silly to be angry about it, but I am. So angry I could kick him in the balls.

But there’s also fear and worry churning inside me.

They said any of the guys can be with them, and he’s Pres. They won’t refuse him.

What if he still turns to them?

What if he picks one of them when he wants someone to ride on the back of his bike?

What if he hooks up with one of them simply because he wants to fuck them?

Shot glass still in my hand, I down it, knowing when all this alcohol hits me I’m probably going to be completely shitfaced.

But better to be shitfaced than sober and unhappy, right?

This whole fucking sweetbutt thing just sealed the deal and snapped our thread.

Coy and I are not going to fucking work.

I can’t be with him if he’s also going to be fucking other girls.

Roxy grins as I finally put my empty shot glass down and motion for her to refill it. “Now that that’s out of the way, how about we have some fun, girls? After all, this is Allie’s welcome home party!”

Chapter Eighteen

Coy

Whitey comes up to me as I line up a shot to sink the eight ball in the corner pocket. “Coy.”

Looking up into what should be a happy, grinning face, I see that his eyes are filled with anger. Handing my pool cue over to Poster Boy, I give him a warning look to not fuck up my shot.

“What’s goin’ on, Whitey?” I ask.

“Not here,” he says and motions toward the doors of Church.

“This serious?” I ask as I follow him.

“Yeah, Pres,” his deep rumble comes out over the music and laughter of the party. “Deadly.”

Looking back, I motion for Grem to follow us, and chuckle as Poster Boy gets a second pool cue handed to him. Fucker’s gonna have to play for Grem and me.

I wonder who Poster will pick to win.

Working our way through the party, everyone’s having a good time thankfully. We need it. The upcoming days are going to be tough as hell.

Soon as we get inside Church, I watch as Whitey kicks an innocent garbage can across the room, scattering dirt and shit everywhere.

“What the fuck?” I snap at Whitey.

He’s one of the cooler heads of the club. He doesn’t lose his shit without reason, and him makin’ a mess in Church like this, he better have a real fucking good one.

“We’ve found the fucker who killed Snowbird,” he growls out as he plops himself down in a chair.

Taking the chair next to him, I motion for Grem to close the Church doors.

“What aren’t you saying?” I ask.

“It’s fucking Diamond,” he grunts quietly.

“Oh,” I say with a frown.

“Fucking Diamond?” Grem asks.

“Yeah,” Whitey says and rubs his eyes. “A fucking VP did that shit.”

“You positive?” I ask.

“As much as I can be. I got inside information from a snitch. One of their enforcers, Brian, got word to me,” Whitey says.

“A fucking snitch?” I grumble out.

I fucking hate snitches, nothing ever good comes from being a snitch. There’s a fucking reason for the saying snitches wind up in ditches.
