Kit was right before about this being our time, and how perfectly it’s all going to work out.

I just can’t help but wonder when that time is going to come for Brooks.

I wave to Ignacio and Wren when they look in my direction.

Kit all but shoves them out, both men laughing as if they’re in on some secret. I flush, drying my hands on a dish towel, when Kit turns back in my direction.

“Yes?” I ask, trying to act coy but not quite managing because I want him as much as he wants me.

“Bedroom, baby. Legs spread. I want to watch that toy suck your clit and make your eyes roll back in your head.”

I move in that direction, getting tingles up my spine when he manages to keep his hands to himself.

“Don’t blink or you might miss it,” I warn, because the toy is absolute magic.

“If that happens, you’ll just have to do it again.”

I’m giddy at the prospect, and he chuckles when I quicken my step in the direction of the bedroom.

Chapter 39

Kit

I never thought I could be jealous of a fucking toy, but the woman was right. Twenty seconds in and her mouth was hanging open. At the forty-five second mark her eyes rolled back in her head. At one minute and ten seconds, she looked like she was being electrocuted.

I make my woman come, don’t ever doubt that, but that damn rose nearly had her meeting Jesus in the middle of our bedroom. We had to change the damn sheets. I also learned that she screams my name even when I’m not the one getting her there. It was a soft tap on the chin, but I took it, and then I had to show her that I’m still the best.

Apparently, coming while full of my cock with that toy sucking at her clit is her newest favorite thing. I’ve accepted that we’re a tag team, partners, rather than letting myself feel replaced.

I also plan to hide the damn thing if I’m ever going to punish her with orgasm denial.

“I think you broke me,” she whispers, her hands sifting through my hair.

My head is resting on her hip, my breaths ragged, heart still racing.

“Let’s verify,” I say, turning my head and swiping my tongue up the center of her.

She gasps, her body jerking once again.

“Definitely not broken,” I say with a grin before dropping my hand back down to her hip. “I, on the other hand, probably won’t be able to walk for another hour or so.”

As if the gods have everything stacked against me, my phone rings on the bedside table, and it’s too far for me to reach.

“Just let it go to voicemail,” I grumble when Jules starts to shift to reach it.

She settles back down, her fingers back in my hair, but then the damn thing rings again, and a third time after it goes to voicemail.

“Fuck,” I grumble, moving off of her.

She’s grinning, a lazy, sated smile on her face as she watches me round the end of the bed and grab my phone.

“Brooks,” I say, wondering just what the hell is going on as I call him back.

“I need you to not ask questions,” my best friend says instead of hello when the call connects.

“Okay,” I agree. We’ve been friends for a very long time, and this isn’t the first time we’ve needed help of this variety.

“I need you to send Jules to Climax.”

I shake my head, thinking that I heard him wrong. My mind must still be on the amazing sex I just had.

“The sex club?”

“Yes.”

“I’m not sending my fiancée to a fucking sex club. What the hell is—”

“I said don’t ask questions.”

“And I love you man, but that’s not going to happen.”

“I’m—fuck, man. Really? Can’t you just help me out?”

“Have you lost your mind? I’m not sending my pregnant woman to a sex club.”

“I’m here with—” He clears his throat. “Archer Bremen ended up here. The paparazzi have somehow found out, and they’re all stationed around the entrance.”

“Okay,” I say, not understanding what the real issue is.

Archer Bremen is a rock star, and I don’t think it’s newsworthy to catch him leaving one of the city’s sex clubs.

“I need you to bring disguises, and if you’re going to insist on coming along like it sounds like you are, I need you to wear one as well.”

I grin, putting the phone on speaker so Jules can hear. With the access, she sits up in the bed, a wide grin on her face.

“Explain it to me one more time,” I say, not feeling an ounce of shame for having her listen in on such ridiculousness.

“I’m at Climax with Bremen, and the paps have surrounded the damn place. I need help getting out without being seen. I don’t want to end up in the damn tabloids. It’s not good for Blackbridge.”
