“Sorry again, man,” Ash says. “I really tried to get up there.”

Everyone’s disappointed they weren’t able to outbid Dax.

“If we’d known beforehand,” Marty says, “we could’ve pooled money together.”

Payton adds, “This might’ve worked out better. We can just prank them on this so-called date.”

Ah, my guys are too good to me.

“Don’t worry,” I say. “I didn’t want you all out any savings over whatever the hell that was. And I’m the president. It’s my job to take this shit in stride. I’m gonna show and be as proud as I was in my G-string and crop top, and tell them all to suck it.”

The guys enjoy some laughs.

“That’s the spirit,” Ash says, patting my back. “Just a shame, since if you were queer, you’d definitely have a good time with Dax.”

He’s got this look in his eyes that, again, makes me wonder, but I don’t have much time to speculate on what Ash and Colin may or may not have done with Dax before Ty’s gaze catches mine from across the room. He’s got his phone in his hand, and he breaks eye contact to key into it.

The buzz in my back pocket alerts me to a notification, and as the guys are chatting up friends around us, I peek at my DMs.

TY: Looks like you won after all. ;)

ME: First time I’ve ever seen you try to lose something.

TY: We should probably talk about that.

ME: Ya think?

TY: Can you find a way to get rid of all these frats? ;)

I stifle a laugh.

ME: I’m definitely not heading back into enemy territory after what went down. I think your boys might tie me up to a flagpole.

TY: Stop trying to turn this into something sexy.

I laugh again. Clearly, whatever went down hasn’t affected what we were doing before the event.

TY: Does this mean the Alpha Theta Mus are gonna attack me if I try to come see you?

ME: Can you blame them?

TY: Nr.

I don’t love being sneaky around my guys, but considering Ty and I barely know what’s going on yet, that seems the safest option. Ash would understand, but I don’t need all the guys in the house knowing about my sexual experimentation, and also, it’s not only my call to make when Ty’s involved.

Fortunately, we have the perfect opportunity.

ME: Most of the guys will be at Zeta Tau’s party tonight.

TY: And you?

Eagerness wells up within me.

ME: I was considering staying in…

I watch Ty as he reads the message, and when he glances up, his mischievous smirk assures me he fully intends to pick up where we left off. He keys into his phone, and I check mine until his DM comes through.

TY: You thinking of sneaking me into Alpha Theta Mu?

TY: You fucking traitor.

We lock gazes briefly, and his wicked expression sends a rush up my spine.

Why does the idea of sneaking around make messing with him even hotter?

All those nerves he stimulated during our kiss wait in eager anticipation for the possibility of being worked up again.

“Jesus, you’re still blushing from being onstage,” Ash says.

I hate how obvious I am. “Oh, really?”

My phone buzzes, and I check it.

TY: Just pissed that I have to wait until this party.

And it’s on.

Ty and I continue catching up with the guys until everyone heads out. When we get back to Alpha Theta Mu, I make up a BS excuse about being tired, when really I’m wired at the thought of what Ty and I will be doing when he gets here. Two frats have stayed at the house, so I need to keep a lookout, which adds to the adrenaline coursing through me as I head through the house to meet up with Ty.

I message him when I get to the back door, opening it, poking my head out, searching around for my rival.

“Ty?” I whisper. “Ty?”

He steps around the side of the house.

Unlike me, he didn’t have a chance to change out of his tux, so he’s still wearing his suit pants and button-down. He looks like a secret agent as he searches around, I figure to make sure no one catches him infiltrating our house. Then he rushes to the door, hurrying inside.

“Trying to announce to the neighborhood I’m here?” he asks.

“It’s just Bernie and Ted,” I say as I close the door behind him. “Now come on.”

I start to lead the way when he seizes my wrist. He pulls me back gently, guiding me up against the wall. It all happens so fast that soon his mouth is clamped against mine, my body coming back to life with sensation, racing back to where we left off when Ryan interrupted us before the auction. Sweeping waves of heat and eagerness move through me as he pushes up against me, wedging me between his torso and the wall.

I finally come to my senses and say between kisses, “You have…to…stop…kissing me…to get to…my room.”
