She’s cute with a nice body. Now her, I wouldn’t mind having in my bed. Her car is sweet too.

I wonder if she can handle that thing. Maybe after I spank her ass out here on the track, I’ll take her home and spank her ass in my bed too. Her eyes lock on mine and she gives me a shy smile.

Oh yeah, I’m fucking.

The model face strikes again. It’s always good to be a Kylix. Our family is known for the money and the stellar looks. Although my father loathes me using my face to make money—he loathes it until it’s convenient for his bragging.

I lean back on my car and savor the energy buzzing around us. This shit gets my blood pumping. I love the thrill.

All that bullshit from this morning is forgotten. If they’ve found someone to replace me, I hope they succeed. Fuck my father and his greedy ass. I pray it all blows up in his face.

Pitman’s fuck buddy Abby storms by in her too-tight skirt and heels. Looks like they’ve had another fight. Maybe I can fuck with his head and throw him off his game.

He’s the only one I’m concerned with tonight. I’d much rather gain thirty grand than lose five. This purse will be higher than most. These guys are high-stakes drivers.

They don’t get behind the wheel for less than a five-hundred-dollar buy-in. Tonight isn’t the highest buy-in I’ve ever had, but it’s not the cheapest either.

I saunter past Pitman and his Viper. “Better have my cash, Pitman.”

“Fuck you,” he barks out and flips me the bird.

I hold my belly and laugh. I love fucking with his grumpy ass. I know he doesn’t like me because of my family’s money.

Fuck him.

I keep walking and turn to look at the biggest spoiled brat out here. Seth, the organizer of these races. Our families are familiar enough. They’re connected. You would have to be to run this caliber of race.

Although they’re not as connected as mine. Grayson’s can’t move the type of shit Kylix’s can. While Seth can run these races under the radar and pull in some cash, I could shut these races down permanently and make it like they never existed.

However, rumor has it Seth’s dad will have his head if he finds out about them. The old man has his eyes on politics, which means he needs the favor of Vander’s elite. That’s not going to happen. Even if it were, Seth’s bullshit stands to get in the way of that.

“Selfish bastard,” I mutter.

I guess we have something in common because I’m talking to us both. I’m also not willing to go through with my father’s wishes so he can advance. No matter if I know this is what I’ve been groomed for since my first solo trip to Greece for the summer. It’s the same Greek pride my father and I share that won’t allow me to bend.

I squint at the guy in the hoodie who approaches Seth.

“Fuck,” I grunt.

We don’t need another entry into this race. I know Jeff isn’t coming back, so I don’t have to worry about him. Yes, the pot will grow, but that’s one more unknown stacked against me, taking the fun out of the win.

I’ll have to actually focus. I dip my brows more when Jeremy walks over to them. Something about the guy in the hoodie’s body language sets my nerves on end. Jeremy seems to make him nervous.

Seth pulls the guy into a hug and nods as he says something to him. They pull apart and Seth pats the side of the dude’s head before turning back to Jeremy. Jeremey gestures toward someone in the crowd.

I go to follow his motion with my gaze, but tires screech, pulling my attention away from their exchange. By the time I turn back to their group, Jeremy is gone and so is the guy in the hoodie. Frustrated, I have no idea what Jeremy gestured to.

Whatever they were up to, I missed it. Seth better not be playing any funny shit with the payout. His ass better have my fucking money when this is over.

“All right, all right,” Seth calls out as I make it back to my car. “Let’s get this party started. I got studying and shit to get to.”

The crowd cheers and drivers start to get into their cars. I’m almost in my car when Jeremy opens his ooze-spewing mouth.

“She’s not racing with us. She has no business out here,” he growls.

This guy loves to hear himself talk. No one else has a problem with her racing. As long as she can pay for her spot, I don’t give a shit.

“Doesn’t matter either way. Your ass is still going to lose,” I scoff loud enough for everyone to hear.

“Fuck off, pretty boy. No one’s talking to you,” Jeremy replies.
