“Well, that isn’t fair,” she grumbles. I almost go back for more. Too bad our time is limited, and I’d like to spend a few hours with the girls before I’m gone for dinner and more than likely through breakfast.

“I’ll go back to that. I’ve got to leave. I’ll only be gone for the night. Are you okay with that?” It’s Bailey’s first night when she’ll be alone with the girls. She’s been beyond fucking spectacular when I’m not around during the day.

“Of course. While Piper is napping, I’ll go and grab what I need. If there’s anything particular they’ll need during the night, I know they’ll tell me, or you can let me know before you leave.” Independent, self-assured. There’s not a single thing Bailey isn’t capable of doing.

“That’s not the favor. My brother…” My hands never stop roaming over her body. Keeping them away from her tits, that takes more control than I’ve ever had before.

“Well, if that isn’t the favor, then what is?” Bailey’s head tips to the side. Another moment passes where all I can think about is kissing her, swallowing her moans like I did in her hotel room.

“Stay in my room. The guest bed sucks, or so I’ve been told, and I like knowing the fact that while I’m away, some part of me is wrapped around your body.”

“Are you sure that’s a good idea? I mean, Piper would be none the wiser, but Cammy is a different story. She might be six, but she’s lightyears older in the maturity arena.” Bailey isn’t wrong, and I didn’t think about the possibility that Cammy would see right through my ploy.

“Probably not. Madden mentioned the mattress in there sucked.”

“He’s not wrong. I spent one night in that room at the beginning. I don’t know how your family did it. The pool house bed is awesome. The guest room in the house, though, it’s like sleeping on springs.” That pisses me off. No one brought it to my attention. I wonder how my family even attempted to sleep if that mattress is so bad.

“Fuck, no one told me. I never really cared before because it wasn’t a big deal. I’m taking that piece of shit to the curb. We’ll tell Cammy you’re sleeping in my room because of the mattress.” I don’t proceed to say when or if I’ll be replacing it. I’ll keep that little bit of information to myself.

“If you’re sure that will work. I can sleep on the couch. It’s only one night.” That’s the last thing I want.

“I’ll handle it. Now, you wanna give me your lips before it’s time for me to go pick up Cammy?” It’s stated like a question, but it’s not one, not in any manner of speaking, because my mouth meets hers as I bring her closer to my body, allowing her to feel how affected I am when she’s near. Sexy little mewls fill my head, and I’m about to give Bailey exactly what we both need.

Bailey

“We’re home! Daddy and I brought cookies home,” I’m still on cloud nine while also waiting for someone to yell, “Pivot!” and it will all be over. Kind of like, “Surprise!” only it’s the worst known to man and you’re the one left in a cloud of dust. The shitty part is, my best friend isn’t even in town, let alone the same continent, so it’s not like I can call her. Literally, I love Shawna and what she’s doing, giving back in the most selfless way anyone could. A mission trip that had been calling her name around the same time I first met Forest, another reason I was in Reno besides to see my baby brother. It was a quick visit, with her needing to leave the next day and still having yet to pack for her nine-month trip to South Africa. Picking up the phone to call her is out of the question. An email would do, that would be lengthy, and even then it’d be hard to explain.

“You did, did you?” Piper and I are sitting in the living room. I barely had enough time to get things situated in their new home while putting the broken toys in a garbage bag and in the trash can outside. Forest was more than happy to take that out for me. The rest of them I wasn’t sure about were put in the guest bedroom that no longer has a mattress or box spring. True to his word, he hefted those to the curb, only muttering a response that I couldn’t hear when I offered my help.

Piper is already up and doing a half-walk, half-run into the kitchen to see what Cammy is talking about, both of us leaving the toys out to play with later. I’m pretty sure tonight is going to be hard on both of them. As resilient as they seem, I saw the lingering shadows on the girls’ faces after each call or FaceTime Forest made while he was away.
