“Anything?” he asks finally.

His eyes are compelling as they look deeply into mine.

A slight shiver runs through me as I hold his gaze, unable to look away. For some reason, I feel like I’m about to sign a contract with the devil.

“Yes,” I reply in a small voice. “Anything.”

CHAPTER SIX

Abram

Anything.

She’s so innocent.

She’s just given the devil an opportunity to prey on her.

I look into her eyes, shocked by the sincerity of her offer. She’d really do anything.

Does she go around promising to do anything for strangers?

I hope not.

I was serious when I told her I couldn’t let her go.

I want her – everything from her long vibrant red hair to her curvy hips and heart-shaped ass. I want to run my hands over her sumptuous mounds while committing every curve and edge into memory.

I want to look into her eyes while making her do sinful things that pleasure us both.

Her eyes...deep blue depths are filled with compelling innocence, unguarded secrets and restraints, and exciting defiance held back by fear.

I can tell she’s been hurt a lot by the people closest to her. Yet, everything about her makes me want to pick up a brush again.

I want to paint those big beautiful eyes, laughing and free. She makes me want so many things that I haven’t wanted in a long time.

I feel bad that I have to capitalize on her innocent offer, but I don’t seem to have any other choice.

Something tells me I’d regret letting her go now.

“Did you say you’d do anything?” I ask, raising my eyes slowly to hers.

“Yes,” she nods jerkily. “I...I would do anything.”

She bites her lower lip, a nervous gesture that sends lust ricocheting through my veins. I suddenly feel the urge to run my tongue along her lips’ soft lines and delve into her mouth's sweet contours while... I shake the thoughts away.

I raise my eyes to hers, intentionally holding her gaze in place. “Be mine,” I say slowly, watching her expressive face. “For two weeks.”

She gaps softly, and her big eyes grow even bigger. A furious blush spread across her rosy cheeks, making her even more desirable.

“What?!” she spits out, blinking rapidly in surprise, or is it anger? She looks offended like I’ve just made the most inconceivable demand. “I’m not a whore!”

I hold back a snicker and sit up slowly with a soft sigh. I gesture to the bed.

“Please sit, Miss Hanson.”

She throws a suspicious glance at the bed and shakes her head.

“No, thank you. I’d rather stand.”

“If I wanted to jump you, I had the whole night to do so,” I say with a slow smirk. She lowers her gaze bashfully, doing that thing with her lips that’s got my member stirring in my pants. “Please, sit, Melody.”

The name’s a perfect fit...I’d make her my muse and my melody. All mine.

Melody hesitantly lowers herself on the bed, intentionally putting a safe distance between us.

She looks ready to jump up and run out the door at any second.

“Please make it quick...sir,” she adds as an afterthought. “I’ve got to start work for the day.”

I incline my head to study her face, compelled by the hint of defiance in those big blue eyes of hers.

“My name is Abram Harden,” I say. “I’m an art dealer, and I own a few galleries. I’m also an artist, but I haven’t painted anything in a while. Let’s say I lost the zeal that I used to have for my craft. However, like you...I’m in a bit of a pickle where I have to come up with a new art series by the end of the month. Therefore, I want you to be my muse.”

“Me?” she asks, looking at me like I’d suddenly grown horns.

I shrug in reply. “Yes, you. Melody. I want you.”

Her cheeks go red again, and she drops her eyes for a second.

God, she’s so beautiful.

“I want to paint you in different forms,” I continue softly, hoping she won’t reject my offer. “It’s going be a series of three.”

“But...But I’m not a model or anything close,” she says, shaking her head like she can’t comprehend the concept of posing to be painted. “I don’t even have a model figure. I’m fat and….”

“You’re just perfect,” I interrupt gently. “You’re everything I need for my unveiling.”

She holds my gaze, searching my eyes as if to reveal my true intentions.

“Can I think about your offer?” she finally asks after a few seconds of tense silence.

“Of course,” I reply with a nod. “You have till the end of the day.”

“Tonight?” she asks.

I nod again. “Yes. If you return here tonight after work, I’ll take that as a yes.”

CHAPTER SEVEN

Melody

Abram Harden.

If my jaw dropped further for every line I read about him, it’d be hitting the ground at any second.

Did he say he owned a few galleries?

He has twelve massive galleries all over the world and three private museums.
